My senior year by far is boring, the classes I have, are not what I expected them to be, I hardly have anyone to talk to in most of my classes, that’s one of the reasons why my senior year is boring so far. I am slightly on pace on all my classes, all I need to do is finish biology and I will be on pace to graduate. What I am looking forward in my senior year is to be able to play soccer. Also for this to be my last year in high school, and entering the real world. My goals for this year is to finish all my classes and to graduate with all my classes completed. My goal for the future is to go to a 4 year university or if not to a community college, then transfer to a 4 year university, but most of all to have a degree on something, which at this point I don’t know in what I would like to madure in. For my senior project I am not really sure what I am working on, I haven’t looked at it since last year. What has been exciting about my senior project has been knowing that it’s one of the last pieces I will need to graduate. Also the whole project is about me, so it makes it some what easier. For the future I have many goals but some of the main ones are to graduate, go to college, have a degree on something that I enjoy, and of course, play college soccer. Other things that I am looking forward in my senior year is having a good time and participating in school activities as a senior. On the other hand, I could say my senior year is going alright because I have my friends and teammates that are making this year better day by day. Also, in some of my classes I am making new friends, not a lot, but enough to make the classes a little better. I could also say that I am looking forward to Algebra 2 because I am not very good at math, but I also want to get better in the subject, so I am looking forward to see how it goes this year. I know I am going to struggle a little with Algebra 2, but I know I will do good, and have grades to play soccer, and to pass the class, so I am really looking forward to that class. Some of the things that have been exciting about my senior project has been creating my own web site that’s all about me. Also how I get to put all the activities I do in and outside of school. Also, I could say I am looking forward to senior sunrise and sunset, also going to grad night and all the privileges that we get as seniors. But as you can see, the number one thing that I am looking forward the most is soccer season, as it is my last season and last time I will get to play for Lindsay HIgh School, I am hoping in having a great season, and hopefully reaching valley.

Since my last journal entry, the way towards school has changed quite a bit. I have been trying harder little by little to keep my grades up and stay on pace to graduate. Also I need to have good grades in order to play soccer, that's a reason why I'm trying to keep my grades up. In math I am not on pace, in order to be on pace I need to catch up to the class, which they are in MT 3 and I'm in MT 2, I need to work hard to catch up.
I am doing alright in my classes so far. In math, I am behind in one MT. I fell behind because I didn’t pass the E.O.T, now I'm struggling a little to catch up and be on pace. Math has always been the subject which I've struggled the most. I could honestly say math is my main weakness. Another class I'm behind in is Government. But in Government I'm slightly behind, I just need a few worksheets and I'll be all caught up.
The only thing I need to accomplish before the semester ends is my job shadow. What I am planning to do for my job shadow is a ride along. That is pretty much all I need to finish before this semester ends. I'm planning on doing it in about 3 weeks, that’s my plan, if not sooner.
So far I am enjoying my senior year, it's turning out better then how it started. I've made new friends and much more memories. I could say it's been my best year throughout my whole high school years. It's a huge difference between freshman year and senior year, the amount of work, stress, applying for colleges, and knowing that this is the last year I'm going to see all my friends everyday. But overall it's my best year.
Steps I am taking for post graduation is applying for C.O.S, I was planning on going to a four year university but since I'm not taking chemistry I will not be able to do that. But that's okay because I am planning to attend C.O.S for two years and then transfer to maybe Fresno State. I think this is a good idea because everyone tells me that I will save a lot of money this way. It also gives me more time to think about what I want to do for the rest of my life.
I am feeling supported for my post graduation from family, and friends. Even though I wanted to go straight to a four year university, I am feeling pretty confident with attending a community college, which is close to home. I have all the support I need from my family. They will support me no matter what I choose to do, either go to a community college, or a university.

My winter break went pretty good, I got to visit family in Los Angeles and spend Christmas with them. We’ve had so much food, especially tamales and posole, we ended up being sick to our stomach. My family and I went to Desert Hills Premium Outlets, which were super expensive so we just ended up looking around in every store. For New Years eve we spent it at home, all my family came over, we played music, we ate, we played video games all night long, then celebrated the new year, 2016! The next day we tried going up to Sequoia National Park, but we ended up not being able to go into the park because we didn’t have chains for the tires. We tried renting chains but they were all out. It ended up ruining our day and our plans, so we just went home and watched movies.
My first semester went somewhat as I planned it to go, because in Algebra 2 I am doing so horrible, with the excuse that math is my worst subject.. I regret not staying after school to catch up on my work, instead I just slacked off and fell further behind. Now I am trying to catch up, and do all my work and pay more attention in class. What I love more about first semester is how many classes I am actually passing and not falling behind. For now I am five out of seven, but pretty soon I’ll be six out of seven or seven out of seven.
The reality of this being my last semester of high school has not quite hit me yet, but I know as time passes by it start to hit me more and more. The reason why I believe that it hasn’t hit me yet is because soccer season isn’t over and once it ends that would mean that the school year is just a few months away. Knowing this is my last semester of high kinda sucks but I’m also glad it’s the end of high school.
Before this semester ends I need to finish Biology. All I need to do in order to finish the class is finish MT 6. At the beginning of the year I tried getting the class but they told me I couldn’t because they weren’t going to put me in a class where I just needed one class.
I am done applying for colleges. Well the only college I applied to was College of the Sequoias because I am not taking the classes I need to go to a four year university. I’m planning to only attend two years at COS and then transfer to a four year university. It’s good attending COS first because I will save money and stay close to home for two years.
So far I am not finding a job for post graduation because right now I am busy with soccer and school, I don’t have enough time to find a job right now. I am planning to find for a job when graduation gets closer, like that I won’t be all stressed out with school and a job.

I am not nervous about graduation because I think I am ready to take the next step in life. Graduation is a small step to a new beginning of my life. It will bring new things in life and give me something to be proud of and a huge achievement. I might say I’m not nervous about graduation right now but when the time gets closer and closer I know I’ll be nervous and excited.
Preparations I’ve done for post-graduation is applying to two community college’s, COS, and Fresno City College. I’ve also been looking for a place to stay if I go to Fresno and also take the placement tests. So far that’s all the things I’ve been doing for Fresno City College, I’m still deciding where to go, either COS or Fresno. The careers I am thinking about to major in are Automotive Technician or Professional Photographer. For me it is really complicated to decide where to go because I would like to go to college somewhere that would require me to move out but I also don’t want to leave my family.
Some of the things I still need to do is finish my job shadow so I could finish my senior project and be 100% finished. I plan on job shadowing a cop, I know it has nothing to do with my pathway or the careers I want to major in but I would like to see how they work, also being a cop seems really interesting. I still need to finish Biology but I know I’ll finish it as soon as possible. Biology has been somewhat challenging for me because of all the scientific terms and name, its all confusing to me and sort of annoying. Another thing I would have to finish are all my classes in order to graduate, which is only five classes because for two periods I have teacher aide, and library study time. So I have time to finish Biology in these two classes.
The things I am looking forward the most is graduating and entering the real world. I am looking forward to getting a job and entering college with students that are all adults. Also taking the class which is going to prepare me for the job I will have when I graduate from college. I am very excited to pursuit my dream in being a Professional Photographer or an Automotive Technician. Also entering the adult life is very exciting for me, being independent and doing everything on my own is something I am looking forward.
What I am grateful in my senior is all the lessons that have been taught to me, like never giving up and always doing my best even when it got difficult. I’m also grateful for that all my teachers were always there for me when I needed help. One thing I will always remember is soccer season, soccer is one of the main reasons why I enjoyed coming to school. I loved being part of the team and being on the field representing myself, school, and town.
